Easter Bibs from Hand Towels

Hand towels just get cuter and cuter and I think that they make  wonderful bibs for babies and toddlers. These were especially cute because the little chick was an applique as was the bunny with the pom pom tail. { these particular towels came from Kohl’s }  I didn’t have a pattern for these but  just made things up as I went humming merrily along.

Trimmed the towels to the shapes I wanted – finished the edges with a zig zag stitch and turned them under and stitched again – added the big, fat, rick rack to each at the bottom – added heavy duty Velcro in the back at the neckline – and added ribbons to the sides to tie in cute, little bows.  Easy, easy, easy !  And, very very very washable.
