Through Grandma’s Eyes: Innocence

“The innocent and the beautiful have no enemy but time.”

-William Butler Yeats-

journal entry:

Is there anything more wonderful, under the sun, than a child?  Keepsake photographs of little children show depth in the young eyes and promise in the determined lips.  These are little, frank, inquisitive faces and strong, perfect, trusting spirits.  In order to be happy, they need grandmas to laugh, sing, play, comfort, create, cook, mix, draw, paint, plant, fix, push, pull, climb, dig, water, talk, whisper, cheer, remember, sew, glue, and hold. It is nice that grandmas are very good at all of these things and more !

“If we were all like angels, the world would be a heavenly place.”
