Through Grandma’s Eyes: Brothers

“One of the best things in the world is to be a boy.

It requires no experience,

but needs some practice to be a good one.”

-Charles Warner-

journal entry:

I remember when you bought rolls of film in selections of 12 pictures, 24 pictures and 36 pictures.  When we were young with our house full of little kids, I felt lucky to be able to buy a 12 exposure roll to capture Christmas morning.  It is a good thing that digital happened.   I would have used my 12 pictures before I even got started.  In fact, it might have taken 24 to just get one good picture.  You know how that goes.  Take a picture.  Round up the kids again.  Take things out of their hands which might hurt someone.  Tell them to leave their shoes on.  Ask them to hold still.  Ask them again.  Walk around looking for better grass.  Stay away from the building with spiders but keep it in the picture.  It is more difficult for me to take pictures like this than those no one knows about.  But, I have to say that these little boys were wonderful, although they did  hide from us a few times.  The grass was SO high.  We were sneezing.
