Just a quick post about Grandpa and his painting. This summer he shifted from Watercolors to Oils and is having the time of his life. He has chosen to paint in the garage rather than in his office room because he doesn’t have to worry about spilling on the carpet.
He has music on his workbench and a laptop computer nearby to help him with his new techniques and examples provided by other painters.
Here is one of my favorite Grandpa watercolors. Every year I put it in the kitchen. There is quite a difference between painting with oils or watercolors.
I love his paintings. The children have prints of many of his best works in their own homes. He is so happy about that.
