Through Grandma’s Eyes: The Face

“To live is so startling, it leaves little time for anything else !”

-Emily Dickinson-

journal entry:

How many times has a mother said “don’t you pull that face” or “if you pull that face it might stick” ?  Well, thank heavens this face was just for a moment but it is truly an original !  Never is Clara without an expression of joy, frustration, excitement, sadness, elation,  disappointment, anticipation, surprise or whimsy.   There has never been a neutral expression on her face . . . in her whole little life.  You go girl !

“Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.”

-Victor Hugo-
