Handmade Journals

“We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.”

-Goethe-

journal entry:

I am a failed journal keeper. I love other people’s journals.  Perhaps other people would like my journal . . . if I had one.  I love to buy journals.  I love to make journals. I love to daydream about how wonderful it would be to get to the end of my life with a journal.  I have many journals with five days of entries.  I am trying again. Here is the cover. Behind it is the back. Some pages will be lightweight for journaling.  Some will be black for photographs.  Spirals will bind it together. If I love the journal . . .and there is something symbolic about it . . . I am more likely to keep it.  This is, of course, a mini-journal.  I plan to use it to remember with photographs the many “Sunday Aprons” I have made for my family and friends.

“There are lots of people who mistake their imagination

for their memory.”

-Aldous Huxley-
