Wings.
Everyone wishes they had some.
Afton is turning five and her party is all about bluebirds.
I made these wings for her along with a little headband, crowned with a bright and very quiet bluebird.
I made a pattern out of card stock for the scallops and cut them with pinking shears. After I had sewn all of the scallop panels (feathers) to the backing, I felt the wings needed a lift. So, I gathered a few ruffles and added them under each layer of scallops.
Now these wings are ready to fly !
