“These people live again in print as intensely
as when their images were captured on old, dry plates of sixty years ago.
I am walking in their alleys, standing in their rooms and sheds and workshops,
looking in and out of their windows.
And they, in turn, seem to be aware of me.”
-Ansel Adams-
journal entry:
As I look back at photographs of this face from the time of his birth until today . . . I can see that the same gifts are at work. He remains a kind and tenderhearted boy. A grateful boy. One who is quick to help and quick to say “I’m sorry”. He is a thoughtful boy. A peacemaker. Creative. Inquisitive. Patient. Quick to lend a helping hand. A hard worker. That is the joy of capturing in photographs, not just the faces, but the spirits of children.
“Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions.”
-Albert Einstein-
