My Daughter’s Christmas Table

“At a round table, every seat is the head place.”

-German Proverb-

journal entry:

Melissa loves to cook.  And she is a good and fancy cook.   She loves salad.  Salad with little tomatoes and balls of cheese. And fruit and warm, homemade rolls.  Cheese.  She loves cheese.  Tonight she invited the family over for dinner. We all looked forward to it. It was an early  Christmas dinner which was spread out on her kitchen counter and on the beautiful Christmas table.  It was a creative table.  Her mix-n-matched dishes . . . goblets of various sizes and shapes and the napkins I made for her. Each one different. She cooked a wonderful ham.  And potatoes.  Beans.  And as if that wasn’t enough, homemade hot fudge for the dessert topping.  So much work.  So perfect.  So appreciated !   Oh, and pomegranate seeds and pineapple.  Grapes. Perfect.  Just perfect.
