Just a quick post to say that anyone can make a perfect Christmas garland. Punch out shapes (circles, stars, trees) or draw shapes and cut them out (little people) and sew them in a straight line on the sewing machine. Glitter paper is wonderful for stars. Glue two stars together …
It isn’t Christmas without the beauty of Handel’s Messiah. Handel’s pen wrote the music but these words come from Isaiah. King of Kings. Lord of Lords. The Mighty God. The Everlasting Father. The Prince of Peace. I have collected a few “crowns” from thrift stores. Most were once …
Time to decorate for Christmas again. Old things in new places. One year it is a village of bird houses. The next year it is a globe collection with a Joy to the World plaque. Bottle brush trees and ornaments and tea light candles can be strewn about in so …
I think that Paper Whites are wonderful during the Christmas season. Grandpa started calling them “stinky bulbs” years ago and so my children call them by the same name. He says that he is just teasing, but I’m not so sure. When they all see that I have planted some, …

I remembered these images because it was Christmas. They are all images of charity and thoughtfulness. I found them and added the sayings some time ago when I was asked to make some magnets for the Relief Society. As it turned out, they were not used but I tucked them …
When little Maya sees anything soft and simple she says “Ohhhhhhhhh” with a tender affection. That is how I knew that this little dolly quilt, pillow and a cuddly deer were perfect little gifts for her 4th birthday. A Dolly Quilt is fun to make because it takes so little …
Holden’s quilt went home with him today. He assured me that every morning, before he went to school, he would pull it up over his bed and fluff up his pillow and the matching pillowcase. His mother is planning to paint his room a bright white quite soon and so …
